Finchley Chamber Choir Rehearsals
Finchley Chamber Choir is currently looking for a few new voices. It is a friendly but hard-working locally based group of about 30 singers, usually giving five concerts each season in Trinity Church, Nether Street, North Finchley, N12 7NN, as well as other occasional performances at home and abroad and some BBC broadcasts. The regular rehearsal night is Tuesday (7.45pm - 10.00pm) at their concert venue. The choir performs the widest range and variety of music from the Renaissance through to new commissions, from unaccompanied motets and part-songs through to full-scale choral works accompanied by its sister organisation Finchley Symphony…

Googlies Jazz Supper Club hosts some of the country’s best jazz musicians and offers a optional freshly prepared two course meal with table service and a well stocked, reasonably priced bar in the intimate setting of Botany Bay cricket pavilion. Music at Googlies covers a wide range of styles including Mainstream, Bebop, West Coast, Latin etc with interpretations of many ‘standards’ and jazz classics. The bar will be open from 7pm. The Big Choir London is a community "no audition" fundraising choir. We raise money for Cancer Research, and have a lot of fun doing it. We're singing contemporary pop songs, anything from the 60's to modern day, we'll be trying a few show tunes and maybe even some gospel. Anything is possible! Come and join us.... London Youth Concert Band, is a youth wind orchestra with over 50 members aged up to 21 years, who play brass, woodwind or percussion instruments to a high standard. We rehearse weekly and will be performing a varied programme of music in our Spring concert on Friday 24 March at 7.30pm. It is free entry and will take place in Trinity Church, 15 Nether Street, London, N12 7NN. Everyone is welcome.

Finchley Symphony Orchestra under conductor Christopher Stark present their first concert of 2023. Mélanie Bonis was a Parisian late-romantic composer whose music suffered years of neglect despite winning high praise from contemporaries such as Saint-Saens. The Suite en forme de valses explores the waltz form in a wide variety of treatments. London-born German-Brazilian violinist Konrad Elias-Trostmann has performed around the world including at Carnegie Hall, the Wigmore Hall, the Melbourne Recital Centre and Sala Cultural Itaím São Paulo. He joins us to play Beethoven’s monumental concerto. Beethoven was working on his fourth and fifth symphonies at around the same time…

Barnet Choral Society: A Royal Occasion
In anticipation of the coronation of King Charles III, Barnet Chiral Society are performing works by Handel and Purcell, written for earlier royal occasions. They are joined by Elspeth Morwen Pihhott (soprano), Sarah Anne Champion (alto), William Wright (tenor), Thomas Lowen (bass) and accompanied by Spiritato Baroque Ensemble.
